Since its inception in 1941, the Club de Banqueros de México has had a clear purpose: to be a gathering place for sharing ideas, strengthening bonds, and collaborating on matters of common interest.

The club moved to its current headquarters on September 16th Street, in the heart of Mexico City’s Historic Center.
This neoclassical building, renowned for its elegant architecture and rich history, is a symbol of the club’s prestige and stability. With this transition, CBM also expanded its vision, incorporating initiatives to highlight and preserve Mexico’s cultural, historical, artistic, and gastronomic heritage.
Today, the club opens its doors to new fields and specializes in the design of corporate, social, and cultural events. It also stands out for its prestigious cuisine, boasting over 30 years of culinary tradition.
Architectural Gem
Built in 1548...
The current headquarters of CBM is a key landmark in Mexico City’s Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Originally built in the 16th century as a private residence, the building holds a rich historical legacy.
In 1767, the College for Girls was founded by the Brotherhood of the Congregation of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Its purpose was to provide education and religious training to both noble-born girls and those from limited means.
Throughout its history, the building endured several natural disasters, including earthquakes and floods. However, the college was restored, always preserving its architectural essence.
Cine Imperial in 1936
The College for Girls ceased operations in the 19th century. After that, the building was repurposed for various uses, including the German Casino in the late 19th century, the Colón Theater in the early 20th century, and the Imperial Cinema in 1936.
The building remained abandoned until it was acquired by the Club de Banqueros de México, which took on the task of restoring it and honoring its historical value. Since then, it has served as the Club’s headquarters—an iconic institution where history is made.
